Notice regarding 123signup!

ORIGINAL LINK TO REGISTER: Register for Events

Dear 123Signup Customer,

Problems continue with register.com (see email from
register.com below.)

Until this service is resolved there is nothing we can
do at our end to provide uninterrupted service. As I
previously informed you, many 123Signup customers are
able to access the website, but not all.

To restate the problem, when www.123signup.com is
entered in a browser, the correct IP address cannot
always be found and user gets a "page not found"
message.

As a temporary emergency workaround, you may use our
IP address in our links, in place of the domain name.

For example, to get to the Control Center for
administrative access:
https://208.36.120.37/login?org=organizationidentifier
(replace organization identifier with your own
organization identifier)

This link will take users to your event calendar.
https://208.36.120.37/calendar?org=organizationidentifier
(replace organization identifier with your own
organization identifier)

There is one caveat with this approach. Because
123Signup's security certificate is registered with
our domain name, if a user is using Firefox, they will
see this message: 208.36.120.37:443 uses an invalid
security certificate.

If using IE, they will see this message:
There is a problem with this website's security
certificate.

This message may make your user's wary of the sites
security, so, we recommend you post or send links to
your members and attendees only if you can communicate
this issue to them.

We wish there were more we could do to help resolve
this issue. We will continue to update you as we have
more information.

Regards,
Ann Murphy

MESSAGE FROM REGISTER.COM

We recently received the following communication from
register.com, 123Signup's domain name registrar.

Earlier today we communicated to you we were
experiencing intermittent service disruptions as a
result of a distributed denial of service (DDoS)
attack - an intentionally malicious flooding of our
systems from various points across the internet.

We want to update you on where things stand.

Services have been restored for most of our customers
including hosting and email. However for some of our
customers, services are not fully restored. We know
this is unacceptable.

We are using all available means to restore services
to every one of our customers and halt this criminal
attack on our business and our customers' business.
We are working round the clock to make that
happen.

We are committed to updating you in as timely manner
as possible, please check your inbox or our website
for additional updates.

Thank you for your patience.
