Treasurer.

Vice President
-
Assume the duties of the President when
the President is absent.

Assist the President in establishing working Committees.
-
Report Committee activity for committees responsible for
overseeing.

The review and updating of all Position Descriptions and
Performance Standards.

Act as Parliamentarian for all Board of Directors and Chapter
Meetings.
-
Arrange for an audit of financial records.
-
Attend Regional Chapter’s Presidents’ Council.

Fill in as necessary for the President

Secretary
-
Keep written minutes of Board and Chapter meetings and
distribute minutes to each Board member.
-
Maintain all Chapter Records, except those specifically
assigned to other Officers or Committees.

Record attendance at Board Meetings.

Maintain all official documents, including but not limited
to:
-
Call meeting to order, in the absence of the President and
Vice-President and preside until the election of a Chairperson
Pro-Tem, which should take place immediately.

Take minutes of Board meetings and publish in Byteline

Treasurer
-
Maintain a balanced Financial Record consisting of:
-
Issue payments for all incurred expenses.
-
Collect all funds owed to the Chapter.

Purchased supplies including:

Maintain an Inventory Record of physical equipment owned by
the Chapter.

Prepare a Monthly Treasurer’s Report for Board Meetings, and
a Year End report for the Association.
-
Assist the President in the preparation of the Budget.
-
Deposit receipts from monthly meetings on a timely basis
-
Pay outstanding debts on a timely basis
-
Balance bank statements

Seminar Director
-
Maintain contact and work with Education Directors of other
local ISACA Chapters and the ISACA organization.
-
Recommend changes of Chapter support of the IS auditing
education effort.
-
Plan educational meetings, conferences or seminars.
-
Maintain contact with the CISA Coordinator to assist with
CISA Review Session.
-
Keep informed of available articles and publications on IS
auditing.
-
Keep the Chapter membership informed about all Committee
activities.
-
Maintain files. Those considered permanent are to be turned
over to the succeeding director.
-
Work with the ISACA Education Coordinator to promote
educational programs.
-
Obtain preapproval of continuing educational hours for
special educational programs.
-
Arrange for a seminar speaker
-
Make arrangements for the seminar (i.e., location, setup,
time, etc.)
-
Be at the seminar when it occurs to ensure it runs smoothly,
announce speaker, and collect fees due (arrangement type
duties).
-
Provide a financial report on the seminar to the Board.

Membership Director
-
Conduct an annual ISACA Membership Campaign.
-
Work with ISACA Membership Secretary to promote membership
and assure accurate records.
-
Obtain and maintain an adequate supply of current ISACA
Membership Application Forms and all other related material
available to solicit new members.
-
Obtain and maintain an adequate supply of chapter stationary.
-
Contact appropriate companies that have no ISACA members and
encourage them to sponsor a member in the Chapter.
-
Contact potential dropouts to see if they can be persuaded to
continue their ISACA membership, or to ascertain their reason
for discontinuing membership.
-
Contact potential members, supplying them with pertinent
ISACA information, and encouraging them to submit an
application.
-
Process all applications promptly, making sure they have been
completed properly, checking the qualifications of applicants
and investigating as thoroughly as necessary to support a
recommendation of acceptance.
-
Present all applications to ISACA International Headquarters.
-
Supply ISACA International Headquarters, the Chapter
President and Secretary with all Applications for ISACA
membership. The Secretary should add the accepted applicants to
the Chapter mailing list and the official membership list.
-
Supply new members with a Member Profile Questionnaire and
ensure the questionnaire is returned properly completed.
-
Maintain a complete and orderly file of Profiles and
Applications.
-
If dues are collected by the Chapter, record and forward all
payments to the Chapter Treasurer and notify the ISACA
International Membership Secretary.
-
Maintain Membership Record.
-
Keep the Chapter Membership.
-
Issue Membership Directory updates.
-
Make frequent inquiry of present members concerning
prospective members.
-
Invite all prospective members to Chapter meetings.
-
Follow-up with prospective ISACA Membership Application.
-
Learn and understand the eligibility standards for evaluation
of applications.
-
Keep the President and Secretary advised on the status of all
applications.
-
Maintain a file of pertinent records and correspondence.
Give this file to the succeeding Membership Director at the
conclusion of the Chapter year.
-
Investigate all resignations to determine the reason and
forward to the ISACA International Membership Secretary.
-
Maintain membership lists
-
Provide mailing labels for the Byteline and for other needs
-
Ensure the ISACA membership directory is up-to-date (board
list, chapter history, membership list by company and name) and
that new members get a copy of it.

Arrangement Director
-
Make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding
meeting times, dates and location, food service, etc.
-
Arrange for beverage service, menu, table arrangements, etc.
-
Receive and tabulate reservation cards for members and guests
attending both pre-meeting seminars and Chapter meetings.
-
Notify the management of the meeting place of the number
expected to attend each meeting.
-
Prepare name tags for each attendee of the meeting.
-
Insure that facilities required by the speakers are on hand
and in working order (such as lectern, audiovisual, screen,
easels, etc.).
-
Receive payments for meeting fees from guests in cooperation
with the Chapter Treasurer.
-
Receive and handle complaints. If food is poor, portions are
small, service is inadequate, facilities uncomfortable, or
speaker cannot be seen or heard from some table locations, take
corrective action or make recommendations for improvement to the
Board of Directors.
-
Start the meeting promptly – ending on or before a
prearranged time. This discipline is most important in
attracting members beyond the local Chapter area.
-
Assist in arrangements for seminars and workshops.
-
Make arrangements with hotel for meeting room and meals (i.e.
dinner, lunch, snacks)
-
Arrive early to begin registration at the designated time

Publication Director
-
Provide a monthly newsletter, including a preview of the next
monthly Chapter meeting.
-
Maintain a flow of information to the entire membership about
the work of the ISACA International, the local Chapter and all
Chapter events.
-
Enter the Chapter newsletter in the ISACA Annual Newsletter
contest.
-
Remind Board members of article due dates
-
Research articles for inclusion in the Byteline
-
Produce Byteline and distribute to members
-
Submit meeting announcements to local newspapers
-
Web master for the web site

Program Director
-
Plan a detailed Speaker Program for an entire year, in
advance.
The
formal Chapter program probably is the most important single factor
in the general success of Chapter activities. Programs that are
interesting and valuable will bring members to meetings and will
interest prospective members.
-
Provide a minimum of one standby program for the current
Chapter Year in the event it is needed in an emergency.
-
Keep informed of, and record, data regarding potential
speakers.
-
Maintain a file of records and correspondence, surrendering
this file to the succeeding Program Director at the conclusion
of the Chapter Year.
-
Complete arrangements for speakers for each Technical Session
for the Chapter Year.
-
Prepare, and present at the first Board of Directors Meeting,
a General Program for the following year, detailing subjects,
speaker possibilities, possible costs and alternate programs.
-
Submit to the President, by the third Board Meeting, a
complete and confirmed program for the following Chapter Year.
-
Determine member interest by means of questionnaire.
-
Accumulate for future Program Director a list of potential
program topics and other program possibilities.
-
Confer with the ISACA Education Coordinator regarding
potential program offerings.
-
Arrange speaker for monthly meetings
-
Ensure speakers have what they need for their presentations
(i.e., directions to meeting location, overhead projector,
number of attendees, meeting time)
-
Present gifts to speakers at the end of the meeting

Introduce speakers at the meeting

CISA Coordination Director
-
Have information on the CISA program published in the Chapter
Newsletter and Directory.
-
Request time at Chapter Meetings to speak about the CISA
Program.
-
Become knowledgeable about the CISA program to be able to
handle most information requests.
-
Be present and visible at all Chapter activities to be able
to answer questions about the CISA program.
-
Contact potential CISA Exam writers prior to the registration
deadline to increase CISA Exam registration.
-
Provide logistical support to CISA Exam writers (e.g. map of
Exam site location).
-
Present the CISA program to local organizations, other than
the ISACA Chapter, by use if their newsletter or by presenting
the program at their events. Issue local Press Releases on the
program.
-
Encourage the formation of CISA review courses and study
groups. Maintain a library of CISA Exam preparation material.
-
Identify potential members who are CISA’s or Exam writers.
Inform the Membership Committee.
-
Identify local CISA’s who can help in the CISA program at the
international level. Advise the Director of Certification.
-
Contact individuals who have passed the CISA exam and
congratulate them on their accomplishment. Invite them to CISA
recognition night and explain their free meetings.

Introduce the individuals who have passed the CISA exam at
the CISA recognition meeting.
